ALXnow has a new sister site for local news across the D.C. area.
Meet WSHnow, a local news hub spotlighting the latest headlines published by hard-working, dedicated newsrooms and reporters across the region.
The recently launched site pulls together a variety of stories from 45 local news sources, from regional broadcast outlets like NBC4, to longtime community publications like the Washington Blade and hyperlocal newsrooms such as The 51st and ALXnow’s sister sites, ARLnow and FFXnow.
What results is a comprehensive, regional news feed updated several times per hour, with direct links to more than 100 stories on a typical day. Stories can be browsed by area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia, or regional), as well as in a curated feed or complete list, depending on your preferences.
WSHnow aims to showcase the work done by people in our industry who remain dedicated to reporting on D.C.-area communities, while giving readers a clear path to find quality local news coverage and new sources of information without reliance on social media or search engine algorithms.
In order to thrive, newsrooms need readers who consistently show up — and the best way to support local reporting is by reading, sharing and subscribing to their work.
We hope you check out WSHnow to stay up-to-date on local news throughout the D.C. area while relying on your trusted outlets and discovering new sources of information worth supporting.
