College applications and internships are getting more competitive. Today’s students need to show proof of impact, not just grades and activities. This summer, helloEIKO’s AI for Business Bootcamp is coming to Old Town to give students a credible project with real business outcomes they can show, explain, and stand behind.
What it is
helloEIKO’s AI for Business Bootcamp is a two-week, in-person immersive bootcamp where student teams work with business clients to build and present a custom AI solution to a business challenge.
Who it’s for
The program is designed for motivated high school students (rising juniors/seniors, ages 16+) and college students (freshmen/sophomores) seeking a real-world differentiator beyond grades and extracurricular activities.
Students learn how to apply AI productively, effectively, and ethically in the way businesses use it: to solve problems, build tools, analyze information, and create value responsibly.
What students leave with
Students work in teams to partner with a client, diagnose a challenge, and build a solution they can demonstrate.
They leave with:
- A portfolio project: a finished AI solution they can link on applications, a resume, and LinkedIn
- A standout essay/interview story: a narrative about solving a real-world problem for a client
- A stronger resume: clear bullet points plus a certificate of completion
Why it matters right now
AI is becoming a baseline expectation for entry-level talent. Many students can use AI for homework help; far fewer can use it to solve real business problems responsibly. This bootcamp helps students explain what they built, what they learned, and the impact it delivered.
What students say
One alum stated “the generative AI experience I gained became a highlight in my college applications, and it continues to help me at UVA”. Another said “The real-world credibility I gained from building and presenting production-ready AI solutions helped me stand out to admissions committees.”
