Looking to get out on Thanksgiving and Plaid Friday?
Alexandria has lifted parking restrictions at metered spaces and residential permit parking districts throughout the city tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday.
“Take advantage of free parking at metered spaces to enjoy the amazing boutique shopping experience in all neighborhoods of Alexandria,” the city said in a release.
More than 50 local retailers are participating in Plaid Friday, Alexandria’s local version of Black Friday. The shopping experience started in 2009 and is one of the biggest days of the year for participating businesses.
