There’s a free family-friendly Halloween-themed bike ride in Del Ray on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Riders will be able to see all of the spectacularly spooky decorations throughout the neighborhood. The six-to-seven-mile ride goes from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is hosted by the Alexandria Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. More details are below.

According to the event listing:

We’ll meet at the traffic circle at the south end of Main Line Boulevard, just off the Potomac Yard trail (directly behind or east of GW Middle School). The route will be about 6-7 miles, very flat, and on neighborhood streets.

Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome, and we’ll wait to regroup if we get separated. Children and youth are welcome, but we ask that children younger than 10 be accompanied by an adult.

Costumes are encouraged! Bring a functioning bike, a helmet, and front and rear lights for your bike. You’ll be asked to sign a waiver before the ride.
