Car fire extinguished in Alexandria’s West End, no injuries reported

Alexandria Fire Department extinguished a car fire in the West End on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

The fire was reported at a car parked in the 200 block of S. Reynolds Street at around 5:30 a.m. The 911 caller reported that a black Honda Accord was on fire.

There were no injuries, and the blaze was extinguished in about 20 minutes, according to AFD dispatches. Apartment buildings surround the area where the fire occurred and is near the intersection of S. Reynolds Street and Edsall Road. It is also two blocks away from Duke Street.
