Alexandria firefighters help extinguish commercial building blaze in Alexandria area of Fairfax County

No injuries were reported in a commercial building fire in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County on Friday morning (Aug. 1).

The Alexandria Fire Department assisted the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department extinguish the blaze in a small building, which was reported at around 6 a.m.

According to FCFRD:

Just before 6:00 am this morning, #FairfaxsBravest responded to reports of a commercial building fire in the 5400 block of Oakwood Rd in the Rose Hill area. Units arrived to fire showing from multiple windows in the building. The fire is out. No civilian or firefighter injuries. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
