The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) on Saturday (June 28) announced that Old Town Pool would reopen at noon.
The pool, which had shut down on Monday (June 23) for repairs, is “back up, running, and safe for the community to enjoy,” according to the RPCA.
“Over the past week, our team completed critical repairs to stabilize operations for the season. This included addressing issues within the filtration tank, installing new filter media, and fully reassembling the system. Filtration resumed Thursday, and we’ve since fine-tuned the system to ensure it meets all health code requirements,” the RPCA shared.
The RPCA has offered complimentary Great Waves passes during the closure.
