No injuries in industrial fire in Alexandria’s West End

No injuries were reported after the Alexandria Fire Department extinguished a blaze at a commercial building in an industrial area of the West End on Thursday (June 26).

The Alexandria Firefighters Inc. Local 2141 reported the blaze just after 3 a.m. in the 600 block of Burnside Place, which is just off S. Van Dorn Street.

According to AFD Local 2141:

Crews from E210, E208, E206, E207, E209 and T208, along with mutual aid units, responded to a commercial building fire on burnside place. Personnel worked aggressively to contain the blaze, operations continue today, with crews rotating through to ensure full extinguishment and overhaul.
