Alexandria City Council is set to hold a public hearing on Saturday, June 14, at 9:30 a.m. to tackle various city matters.
The council will review special use permit requests, including one for an additional drive-through at the McDonald’s on S Van Dorn Street and another for a vehicle towing service on Colvin Street.
They’ll also look at extension requests for two major development projects by Galena Capital Partners.
The agenda includes public hearings and votes on ordinances, covering changes to emergency services regulations and updates to the zoning map.
There’s also a public hearing scheduled on the Independent Evaluation of the Alexandria Fund for Human Services.
The council will address lease extensions for artists and arts organizations at the Torpedo Factory Art Center.
Big development projects up for discussion include the Braddock West Extension, The View senior living facility, and the Robinson Terminal North project.
Residents can join in person or via Zoom.
The meeting is likely to last several hours, with a lunch break planned when the agenda allows.
