Meet your new best friend, Thrax – this week’s adoptable dog of the week!
Available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA), Thrax is a 9-year-old male Mixed-breed.
The AWLA shared the following information about Thrax with ALXnow.
Thrax is a sweet, older dog looking for a fresh start in a calm home after a challenging experience. Thrax is 9 years old, weighs 64 lbs, and has a brown coat. He is a smart guy who knows commands for sit, paw, and come here and does very well walking on the leash and riding in the car. He has gentle eyes and enjoys pets, treats, and affection. With a little bit of patience and gentle handling, Thrax will make a wonderful companion in a variety of homes. If the ease of a more mature dog sounds up your alley – come by and meet Thrax!
The AWLA shares the following additional information in Thrax’s bio.
Right here waiting! My name is Thrax, and I’m an older fellow who is working on building trust again after a difficult experience. For years I enjoyed the love of a family and now I’m finding myself starting over and missing the comforts of a home. I’m a sweet, smart boy who arrived already knowing paw, sit, and come here. I like booty scratches and pets, but get a bit nervous around my neck. However, if you have treats, we’ll get along just fine. If you’re willing to take things slow with me, I know I’ll be a great addition to your home. I look forward to meeting you!
Thanks to a generous donor, Thrax’s adoption fees have been paid for. To meet Thrax, visit the AWLA at 4101 Eisenhower Ave.
