Want to improve your neighborhood parks and trails? Alexandria’s got your back with its Community Matching Fund. Local groups can now apply for up to $50,000 in matching funds to improve parks, trails, gardens, and community spaces.
The Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) is running this PARKnerships program. You’ve got until May 26 to get your application in.
This program supports community-led projects that improve Alexandria’s parks and recreation facilities for everyone’s well-being.
If you’re part of an Alexandria-based community group, you’re eligible to apply. The city will match every dollar you raise, with awards ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 depending on how big your project is.
Got a winning idea? Funding for approved projects kicks off on July 1, 2025.
