Heads up, drivers – expect some overnight delays on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge this week.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says the bridge will have maintenance openings from 10 p.m. on Thursday (May 15) to 5 a.m. on Friday (May 16), weather permitting.
During this seven-hour window, you can count on multiple bridge openings and traffic stops. If you’re planning to cross the Potomac overnight during that time, you might want to reconsider your route or allow extra time.
To stay up-to-date on traffic conditions and bridge status, follow VDOT’s social media channels or visit their website for real-time updates.
This work had been initially scheduled for May 8 – 9.
