Former Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson to participate in GMU discussion on federal policy impacts

George Mason University is hosting a Leadership Dialogue webinar on Friday (May 9) from noon to 1 p.m., focusing on how federal administration changes affect state and local government.

Former Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson will join the Regional Elected Leaders Initiative (RELI) for the discussion.

The event, part of the university’s Leadership Dialogue series, will explore the impacts of recent federal policy shifts on the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.

“No region is more affected by the recent seismic changes in federal policy and practice than the DMV,” organizers share about the Leadership Dialogues series. “Each speaker will provide insights about navigating these challenging times, using both a NoVA and Commonwealth lens. What are the issues, impacts and priorities? What are the risks and opportunities? What are possible actions and responses, and lessons from the past?”

At noon on May 23, Don Scott, Speaker of the VA House of Delegates, will participate in a similar Leadership Dialogue Webinar. Register for the seminar here.
