Heads up, drivers – expect some overnight delays on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge next week.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says the bridge will have maintenance openings from 10 p.m. on May 8 to 5 a.m. on May 9, weather permitting.
During this seven-hour window, you can count on multiple bridge openings and traffic stops. If you’re planning to cross the Potomac, you might want to reconsider your route or allow extra time.
“The Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge will be conducting a bridge maintenance opening from Thu, 5/8 at 10:00 pm through Fri, 5/9 at 5:00 am, weather permitting. Expect multiple openings and multiple traffic stoppages.”
