Alexandria seeks resident input at ‘Budget Bonanza’ and upcoming meetings

The City of Alexandria invites the community to a resource fair, “The Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Bonanza“, on Thursday, March 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Market Square (301 King St.).

According to the city, this is an opportunity for residents to learn about key investments in youth programming, housing, public safety, infrastructure, and economic development. City staff will be on site to answer questions, provide resources, and collect feedback.

For individuals looking for a new or better job, the Department of Human Resources will be on site during the resource fair with information about our currently posted positions.

If you’re interested in attending, you can RSVP by filling out your information by Wednesday, March 19; however, an RSVP is not required.

The Alexandria City Council will host the following additional meetings and work sessions throughout the remaining FY 26 budget process.

According to the city, all scheduled budget meetings will have both in-person and remote attendance options. Visit alexandriava.gov/Budget for the list of the most up-to-date meeting dates, times, and locations.
