If you go to see the EZ Street Band perform the music of Bruce Springsteen next week, you might notice their Springsteen’s voice is suspiciously similar to Simpsons bartender Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum and others.
Actor Hank Azaria is headlining with the EZ Street Band performing tributes to artist Bruce Springsteen.
Azaria has been performing on The Simpsons since 1989 in a variety of roles.
“I’ve never worked harder preparing for any role than I did in perfecting a singing vocal impression of Bruce,” said Azaria in the event listing. “It’s a performance piece, but I’m not a Bruce impersonator.”
The concert is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45.
All net proceeds from the event benefit the Four Through Nine Foundation, a non-profit founded by Azaria benefitting organizations prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion in education and other issues.
The month after, folk musicians Tom Rush and Matt Nakoa will be performing with special guest Jeff Daniels on Saturday, April 5. Tickets are $49.50.
