If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you don’t have to look far as there are dozens of events happening across Alexandria.
Of course, this is a big weekend for George Washington in Alexandria. On Saturday, thousands of spectators will line the streets of Old Town to cheer on the oldest and largest George Washington Birthday Parade in the country.
Continuing the celebration, a George Washington Birthnight Dinner will be held at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum on Saturday night. A George Washington Walking Tour will take place in Old Town on Sunday.
Check out the complete list of events and listings for the week below, and if you attend something you found here, be sure to let the venue know you read about it on ALXnow!
Reminder: It’s “Big Love Adoption Weekend” at The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, where all adoption fees are waived for dogs weighing more than forty pounds.
