There’s a big Kendrick Lamar concert in New Orleans with some people playing football before and after.
Super Bowl LIX and Puppy Bowl XXI are this Sunday, Feb. 9, and bars and restaurants around Alexandria have specials and events.
Alexandria will also have a paw in the competition at the Puppy Bowl: Abigail, a Labrador retriever mix from Alexandria, will be participating in the upcoming Puppy Bowl.

- Atlas Alexandria Brewery & Tap Room (2429 Mandeville Lane) — Atlas will have the Super Bowl on all TVs with audio this Sunday evening and those watching at home can still get beets with a 15% off to-go beer order with the code SUPERBOWLSTOCKUP2025
- O’Shaughnessys Pub and Stage Door Deli (1324 King Street) — Game will be played on TVs and a large overhead projector
- Hops N Shine (3410 Mount Vernon Avenue) — Offering a limited Super Bowl Menu for groups ($99 for a group of 4 with other tickets for larger groups) with food and drink tickets
- Alexandria Bier Garden (710 King Street) — The Alexandria Bier Garden is hosting a Super Bowl event with food and drink specials. Tickets are $9
- Sugar Rim Bar at The Garden Alexandria (5380 Eisenhower Avenue) — The Garden is hosting a tailgate party for the Super Bowl. Tickets start at $75
The nonprofit Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) is also offering free rides after the Super Bowl for the first time this year, an offer usually reserved for holiday events.
Offered by the nonprofit Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP), the inaugural 2025 Super Bowl SoberRide® program will be in operation beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9th and operate until 4:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10th as a way to keep local roads safe from impaired drivers during this traditionally high-risk period.
During this eight-hour period, area residents ages 21 and older celebrating with alcohol may download the Lyft app to their phones then enter the SoberRide® code in the app’s ‘Payment’ tab (under the ‘Add Lyft Pass’ option) to receive their no-cost (up to $15) safe transportation home. WRAP’s 2025 Super Bowl SoberRide® promo code will be posted at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9th on www.SoberRide.com.
