The 700 block of Cameron Street will be closed for part of next week during the day because of construction nearby.
The City of Alexandria said in a release that the 700 block of Cameron Street will be closed from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
“During work hours, westbound traffic will be detoured either north to Princess Street or south to King Street,” the release said. “Parking at the lot behind the post office will remain available through the duration of the work.”
Katie Bishop, media relations and editorial communications manager, said the closure is related to construction at Christ Church Alexandria that requires the use of a crane.
