While the redevelopment of the Landmark Mall site seems like it’s still a big pile of cleared dirt, Alexandria Living Magazine reported that the project is making significant progress underground.
Developer Foulger-Pratt said significant progress has been made on utilities infrastructure at the 51-acre site. That infrastructure will form the basis for the sprawling mixed-use development planned above ground.
Over the next few months utilities construction will wrap up, Alexandria Living Magazine reported, to include stormwater systems and roads.
Elsewhere on the site, the new Inova hospital has already started construction. The plan is for that facility to open and start receiving patients in 2028, with the rest of the development poised to open between 2026 and 2032.
