The new facility features a 25-meter competition pool, diving boards, a training pool and more.

According to a release:

The City of Alexandria’s Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA), in partnership with the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), is thrilled to announce the grand opening of a brand-new, year-round indoor aquatics facility. Opened on Monday, August 19, this state-of-the-art space is located inside Alexandria City High School’s Minnie Howard Campus at 2795 West Braddock Road.

The facility is designed to meet the growing needs of our community and the ACPS learn to swim and athletic programs. The facility features a 25-meter competition pool, diving boards, and a training pool kept 10 degrees warmer for added comfort. With ample space for swimming lessons, fitness programs, and recreational activities, this new facility is a vital addition to Alexandria’s aquatic offerings. We look forward to welcoming you for a splash-filled experience!

The pool is $9 for adult city residents and $12 for non-Alexandria residents. There are also season passes available for use of the pool as well as the fitness room and other facilities at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center & Aquatics Facility (3210 King Street).
