Chalk artists will be turning Old Town North sidewalks and parking lots into a canvas next month for “Chalk-A-Block”.

The event is hosted by the Old Town North Alliance and is scheduled for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29.

The event will also feature designated areas where kids can join in and make their own art.

“Chalk artists will transform the sidewalks and parking lots of Old Town North into their canvases,” a release from the Old Town North Alliance said. “Live music will fill the air from a variety of artists including local favorites Mars Rodeo at Montgomery Park and Yellow Door Jazz at Canal Center. Local artists and makers will be on hand to showcase their works. From ceramics to jewelry to bath products to books and more, there’s something for everyone!”

The event is free and open to all ages.
