
Any regulars at some of Alexandria’s most popular recreation centers might have to take next week off.
Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities (RPCA) said the following recreation centers will be closed from Monday, Aug. 12, through Sunday, Aug. 18:
- Charles Houston
- Leonard Armstrong
- Mount Vernon
- Nannie J. Lee
- Patrick Henry
- William Ramsay
The Lee Center will remain closed while Nannie J. Lee is closed, the release said.
“The six rec centers are closing to deep clean, make any necessary repairs, and prep for the fall season for our patrons after our always busy summer camp season!” Katie Bishop, media relations and editorial communications manager for the city said.
The following recreation centers will be closed next week from August 12-18: Charles Houston, Leonard Armstrong, Mount Vernon, Nannie J. Lee, Patrick Henry & William Ramsay.
