An open event planned by Sabor Latino DC will fill Jones Point Park on Sunday with salsa and bachata music and dancing.
The event celebrates Fiestas Patrias on July 28 and 29th — the celebration of Peru’s independence from the Spanish Empire in 1821.
The event is scheduled to run from 5:30-9 p.m. The event is free, but donations are appreciated and attendees are encouraged to bring their own beverages and snacks.
“Join us this Sunday, July 28th for a fun-filled afternoon of dancing under the stars at Jones Point Park!” the event listing said. “Come meet new people, enjoy the music, and dance the night away by the scenic waterfront!”
