Other than Halloween and maybe the winter holidays, Pride Month is maybe the holiday season Alexandria goes most all-out for.
Local favorite Port City Brewing Company is getting in on the action too with Priday Market and Drag Show next weekend.
The free event is scheduled for Saturday, June 15, from noon to 6 p.m. at Port City Brewing Company (3950 Wheeler Avenue). The drag show is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m.
“We start the day with a mini-market composed of 10+ LBGTQ vendors from 12-4pm, food trucks, cold beer, and yard games,” Port City said in the event listing. “Be sure to stick around and join us that evening for a Drag Show in our brewhouse starting at 5 p.m. featuring Miss Gay Arlington, Raven Samore, and G. Abrasax.”
Port City noted that a portion of the beer sales will be donated to Equality NOVA — a local organization that aims to improve the quality of life for the local LGBTQ+ community.
