(Updated 1:15 p.m.)Â The Mount Vernon Avenue Bridge was closed to traffic due to police activity, though as of 1:15 p.m. is has reopened.
A foot pursuit across the Mount Vernon Avenue Bridge ended with one suspect in custody. An ambulance was also dispatched to the scene.
It’s unclear from scanner traffic what led to the stop, but medics were dispatched to the scene. Police were seen currently checking over the sides of the bridge.
Scanner traffic indicated the suspect may be wanted on a felony in Stafford County and a misdemeanor in Prince William County.
