McLean is scheduled to perform at The Birchmere (3701 Mount Vernon Avenue) on Friday, July 21.

Meanwhile on August 21, funk band War — most known for “Low Rider” and “Why Can’t We Be Friends” is also heading to the Birchmere. Tickets are $79.50.

Just two days later, on August 23, singer-songwriter Steve Earle is performing at the Birchmere. Tickets are $65.

Finally, for ALXnow’s fellow video game fans, Portal musician Jonathan Coulton is performing on Sept. 13. Tickets are $39.50.

The Birchmere’s full calendar for the next few months is available online.
