It’s hard to believe it’s December already! It’s been another very busy year for those of us in the real estate market until late — and a roller coaster for interest rates.
Even though national headlines make the housing market seem like “doom and gloom”, our market is simply starting to trend back to the days of “seasonality” which was typical prior to 2020. In Alexandria (and the DMV) pre-pandemic, it was normal for many buyers to take a pause on their house hunt during the holiday season — and for most sellers to delay listing their home until the new year.
