Alexandria adoptable terrier Matrix looking for high-energy home

Like the 1999 film that shares her name, bull terrier Matrix is goofy but very lively and a lot of fun.

The two-year-old black and white terrier is looking for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (4101 Eisenhower Ave).

Gina Hardter, a spokesperson for the AWLA, said Matrix is looking for someone who can keep up with her energy level.

“She’s an energetic young girl who is looking for someone who can help her burn some of that energy with lot of exercise and games,” said Hardter. “She’s not sure whether her best attribute is her goofy personality or her great grin, but Matrix is such a fun pup to hang out with.”

So far, Hardter said Matrix has been good with other dogs, though should ideally be paired with a dog who can match her high-octane lifestyle and playstyle. Bonus points for owners who could help train her.

“As a young girl, Matrix could definitely benefit from some additional training, to help her learn some fun tricks as well as maybe even a skill, like agility or flyball,” Hardter said.

Prospective owners can meet with Matrix by setting up an appointment online.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
