This is a fabulously updated, meticulously maintained Warwick Village semi-detached home. There is so much to love about this fantastic home — the updates, new systems and roof, screened porch and huge lot. It’s practically perfect in every way.
Situated at the corner of Hickory Street and Kennedy, beautiful landscaping welcomes you. Enter into the foyer where you will find a convenient coat closet and an open floor plan — great for everyday living! The renovated kitchen features soft-close cabinetry with ample storage, a custom pantry, convenient island and crisp backsplash. The kitchen flows easily into the dining area and living room, which are drenched with light.
On the upper level you will find three bedrooms and a completely updated bathroom with black and white tile. Head to the lower level and prepare to be impressed! The large recreation room has great ceiling height and is perfect for movie nights. A second renovated bathroom can be found off the recreation room and is adjacent to the laundry room.
Walk out from the recreation room to a gorgeous screened porch that leads you to the spacious backyard oasis. Backing up to a park, the yard feels completely private and serene and is one of the largest lots in all of Warwick Village. Completely fenced in with a gate leading to the front, you will love entertaining here — summer barbecues and evening nights by the fire pit await!
Park your cars on the frontage road (there is room for three cars!) and walk to all that Del Ray has to offer — Saturday morning farmers market, yoga or spin, shopping and dining. You do not want to miss this fantastic opportunity.

If you had a chance to enhance a child’s future with a time commitment of less than 2 hours a week, how would you respond? You have that opportunity right now to join over 200 Alexandrians as a reading tutor volunteer with the Alexandria Tutoring Consortium (ATC).
ATC tutors work with one child in kindergarten, first, or second grade in Alexandria public schools who need extra help with reading. Tutors meet with their Book Buddy 1-2 times each week for 30 minutes October-May at school, during school hours. Many struggling readers only receive one-on-one instruction through this program, and it makes all the difference. Last year, ATC served 195 children, of whom 82% ended the year reading on grade level and 96% made substantial reading gains. But the need is great, and we are still seeing learning lags from the pandemic.
This year, ATC plans to significantly increase the size of the program to reach over 250 students and to serve every elementary school in Alexandria. This is very exciting news, but we will only succeed if we can recruit more tutors. ATC trains you, matches you with a child, and provides ongoing lesson materials and support.
