Welcome Back!
Jen Walker here with The Jen Walker Team, a real estate group based out of Alexandria, Virginia. I, along with my two rock-star team members, Sue Kovalsky and Micki MacNaughton, have more than 35 years of experience in real estate and sold over $115 million in 2018.
This week in real estate (November 17-23), total new contract activity was up 19.8% compared to the prior week. A lot of that increase is a matter of the timing of the Thanksgiving holiday. Last year, Thanksgiving fell on November 22, so 2018 numbers reflect essentially all of the holiday week and this year’s numbers doesn’t include any holidays.
As a result, we’ve seen a significant increase in the number of newly ratified contracts. Loudon County was up 61.1% while not far behind was Prince William County at a 42.9% increase. Montgomery County rose 38.4% and Washington, D.C. was up 22.6%.
With the holiday season upon us, it’s a good time to reflect on all that you’re grateful for this past year. Carry that gratitude into 2020 with you. We at the Jen Walker Team are so grateful for each and every one of you who trust in us to help you make one of the biggest decisions in your life. We feel every single client we help is a part of our ever growing family. We may not be the biggest, but our hearts run deep in this community.
So tell us, what are you grateful for this Thanksgiving? Leave it in the comments below. And don’t forget to “Spread Kindness, Build Community!”
