NOVEMBER 11, 2025 – Nepenthe Gallery is pleased to announce its participation in Women Artists of the DMV, a multi-venue exhibition showcasing the work of female artists in the greater Washington, DC region.
Nepenthe Gallery is one of 19 participating venues to feature the concurrent exhibit which opened in August and concludes with the Nepenthe Exhibit which runs from Dec. 4, 2025 to Jan. 31, 2026. Other venues include American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center and The Mansion at Strathmore.
All glory and honor go to Lenny Campello who organized this amazing series of shows which started as a one-space survey and almost immediately erupted into a 19-venue survey of nearly 700 women artists from the Greater capital region. Lenny says the exhibit’s success delivers spectacular proof that these exhibits are about great art by women – not women’s art!
“The show at Nepenthe is a perfect example of this…already one of the hardest working independent galleries in the region, the exhibition at Nepenthe is perfect proof of the wealth of artistic talent in our region,” said Campello.
Carrie Garland, owner of Nepenthe Gallery, added “Nepenthe Gallery has a mission to celebrate and share art with our community and beyond – and putting that into motion with so many talented and passionate artists bring forth the sort of joy we all need. It is magnificent to partner with Lenny Campello and this roster of inspiring women artists.”
