Together Women Rise will celebrate International Day of the Girl on Oct. 11 and honor longtime supporter Tara O’Connor LaRose as the first recipient of the Award for Exemplary Service to Together Women Rise. Everyone is welcome. This gathering will feature inspiring remarks from Together Women Rise co-founder Barb Collins, CEO Beverley Francis-Gibson and Aleta Williams, chair of the board of The Batonga Foundation, which equips girls in Benin with the knowledge and skills to be agents of change in their communities. There will also be a special performance by the American Youth Chorus.
