Well-Paid Maids staunchly supports a federal minimum wage increase.
In case you missed it, last month marked 15 years since the federal minimum wage increased to $7.25. It hasn’t budged since. What has budged? The cost of living.
Well-Paid Maids received some exciting news last week. We were voted the best maid service in Washington City Paper’s annual Best of D.C. contest!
This is our fourth consecutive year — and fifth year all together — snagging the No. 1 spot. We feel incredibly proud of our team and very thankful for our loyal clients!
Well-Paid Maids, the only certified living-wage cleaning company in the D.C. area, is celebrating a big milestone: More than 300 Google reviews!
Even more, we have a 4.9-star rating. That’s because we give our cleaners — who are trusted W-2 employees — the compensation, security and dignity they deserve.
Last week, the Post reported that D.C. was experiencing the most intense stretch of heat since the Dust Bowl.
The good news is we should get a break from the 100-degree temps this week, but the bad news is we’re not even halfway through summer.

Back in March, Well-Paid Maids opened up cleaning appointments for Saturdays and Sundays, so we hired Jill as a part-time weekend cleaner.
The rave reviews for Jill are already rolling in! Here’s a recent one: “We are so happy with Jill’s work deep cleaning our house. She was very thorough with some pretty tough areas. I didn’t know it could look this clean.”
The District’s living-wage cleaning company Well-Paid Maids guarantees your satisfaction. If you’re not happy with your home cleaning, you can schedule a free follow-up.
It’s worth noting this only happens on the rarest of occasions because Well-Paid Maids’ cleaners are committed to doing outstanding work. That’s why the company has more than 300 Google reviews with a 4.9-star rating.
By now, you know Well-Paid Maids is a cleaning company that pays cleaners fair, living wages of at least $24 an hour. After all, it’s in the name!
But what you might not know is that employees also get benefits, including paid time off for the Fourth of July. It’s one of 24 paid days off that cleaners get each year.
Back in January, Well-Paid Maids declared 2024 the Year of the Customer.
So far, we’ve implemented a better online booking system, discounts for recurring customers and weekend cleans.
