Adoptable dog of the week: Green Bean, a wiggling bundle of joy

Meet Green Bean, a 7-month-old pup whose cheerful personality and adorable wiggle are guaranteed to brighten your day.

This handsome brown-and-white “low rider” came to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) as a local stray in need of medical care. After recovering in a loving foster home, the 32-pound boy has blossomed into a playful, curious companion who’s ready for his forever family.

“We know he’ll be an amazing dog for his new family—we’ll miss him very much!” his foster family shared.

Green Bean’s foster experience has given him a solid foundation. He’s well on his way to being fully potty-trained, loves his crate, and even sleeps soundly through the night. His foster family reports that he’s a fan of chew toys, balls, and anything else he can play with—and his food motivation makes training both easy and rewarding.

The young pup has also been enjoying the company of his canine foster brother, romping and playing together. He walks contentedly on a leash and approaches new experiences with an adventurous spirit.

Now fully recovered and thriving, Green Bean is ready to become an invaluable, loyal companion to his new family.
