The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) is seeking a permanent home for Steve, a 7-year-old, 90-pound dog currently residing with a foster family.
Steve is a laid-back and easygoing companion who does great on leash walks and gets along well with other dogs during playdates.
“Steve is a chill 7-year-old pup with black fur and adorable floppy ears. Weighing in at 90 pounds, he is a bit of a gentle giant who is looking for a new home where he can play, cuddle, and get lots of love and attention in the form of scratches, treats, and time with his people”, a spokesperson for AWLA tells ALXnow. “Steve is house-trained and walks well on the leash. He has had several playdates with other adoptable pups here at the shelter, gone on a few field trips, and done wonderfully, showing off his easy-going and friendly personality. Equal parts goofball and loyal companion, Steve is well loved by everyone here at the AWLA, and we are hoping he finds his forever home very soon”.
Here’s some additional information that AWLA shares about Steve on their website;
Who’s a good boy?! Hi, my name is Steve. I’ve been told I’m the best boy who walks well on leash and is very easy going. I’m sweet, friendly and looking for a new home where I can play, cuddle, and get lots of scratches and treats. I’m house trained, and at six years old, I’m well out of the puppy phase but am eager and ready to join you for walks and other good times. I love chasing tennis balls and couldn’t be happier than when I’m sniffing out all the news in the neighborhood. Come meet me today and let’s be friends!
If you’re interested in meeting Steve, please call the AWLA at 703-746-4774 or email [email protected] to arrange a time to meet with him.
The shelter ensures that all pets are spayed or neutered before they are adopted into their new homes.
