She’s a lady named Bob: Classy, talkative senior cat seeks loving home

Meet Bob, a 13-year-old black and white domestic shorthair cat looking for her forever home through the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA).

This “classy” and “calm” feline loves to socialize with visitors and engage in what her caretakers call “stimulating conversation.” Despite her masculine name, Bob is a lady who enjoys head rubs, playing with feather toys, and taking cozy naps. She’s particularly fond of chicken-flavored Churus and broth pouches as treats.

“I’m delightful company and easy to please. Being with you will make me a happy kitty,” Bob’s AWLA profile states.

As a senior cat, Bob needs medication twice daily for her thyroid. She’s cooperative about taking it, especially when rewarded with treats. Bob is on the hunt for a peaceful home without dogs and would love a window for bird watching.

Good news for potential adopters: a generous donor has covered Bob’s adoption fees through AWLA’s Adopt It Forward program.

If you’re interested in meeting Bob, contact AWLA at [email protected] or call 703-746-4774, option 2.
