Meet your new best friend, Athea – this week’s adoptable dog of the week.
Athea is a 4-year-old mixed breed available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA).

“Hi! My name is Athea, and I am a beautiful pure white dog with subtle black spots on my ears that is both friendly and affectionate. I am currently looking for a home where I can be an active member of a loving family,” AWLA shares in a bio for Athea. “I am a social butterfly who loves the company of all people and seem to get along with other dogs. I eagerly respond to the “sit” cue and take treats gently from your hand, always ready and waiting for a tasty reward. I love being close to my favorite people and will sit by your side for extended periods of time as long as you are giving me plenty of pets and scratches. And just so you know, head scratches are my favorite. And at four years old, I am at the perfect age. I am way past the puppy stage but still active enough to join you on any outdoor activities you may be interested in. I am also a very sweet and affectionate dog that loves to give kisses”.
So, if you think you and Athea could be friends, visit the AWLA to see if there’s a connection.
