Meet Omar: This visually impaired senior dog is ready to charm his way into your heart

Meet your new best friend, Omar – this week’s adoptable dog of the week!

Omar, an 11-year-old male, is available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA).

“Love me do! My name is Omar, and I’m an adorable little senior with curly tan hair who is looking for a home where I can spend my golden years,” AWLA shares in Omar’s bio. “They say I am special needs because I can no longer see the way I used to. But if you were to ask me, I would tell you that I am just plain special! And even though my eyesight is impaired I get around just fine.”

AWLA continued, “I love going on leisurely walks and can keep up with the best of them! As a matter of fact, I have been told that my leash manners are excellent. I enjoy cuddling up in my comfy little bed for nap time after a long walk. I love being with people, especially when I am being pet. I am a real love bug! I have a lot of love to give and am saving it all up for you”.

If you have room in your heart and home for a super sweet little senior like Omar, contact the AWLA to meet Omar so you can see if you have a connection.

AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave.
